Warning about Carter's clothing

In the past few years, there has been considerable emphasis on the safety of baby and kid items. Toys full of lead. Toys full of phthalates, pvc, cadmium and other nasties. Toxins in baby bottles and sippy cups. Toxins in dinnerwear. Chemicals in clothing, including lead, phthalates and fire retardants. It's hard to keep up with every new warning and recall. Parents are left with spinning heads and lots of questions.

The latest is that clothes from the Fall 2007 line of Carter's clothing are causing skin reactions in babies and children. The problem lies in the printing of the tagless labels. The ink causes reactions in the skin. Check your kid's clothes. As far as I know, there hasn't been an official recall from the government, but Carter's is aware of the problem and is apparently working with consumers. Please check out this website, which contains more information about the clothes and tells you what to do if you have any: http://www.zrecommends.com/detail/carters-responds-to-zrecs-inquiry/
